Bathroom supplier Cassellie in administration with 35 job losses Dec 04, 2021
Cassellie, a bathroom supplier based in Leeds, has been placed into administration with the loss of 35 jobs.

Supply chain disruptions and interrupted trading due to the coronavirus pandemic were given as the main reasons why the company has been placed into administration.

The company has been looking to secure a buyer for the business but was not successful. Clare Boardman and Adrian Berry, senior managing directors at Teneo Restructuring, have been appointed as administrators of Cassellie.

The brand supplies its products to a variety of independent and national bathroom retailers and distributors. Cassellie offers a comprehensive collection of products from baths, showers and basins to accessories.

Clare Boardman, joint administrator, said: “This is a very challenging period for all stakeholders, in particular Cassellie’s employees. Despite the best efforts of the directors, the company has been unable to sustain its operations.

“On appointment, we therefore had no option other than to regrettably make 35 redundancies to the workforce. Our immediate focus is on supporting the employees at this difficult time and working to help service the needs of long-standing customers in the short term.”

The company will continue to trade in administration for a short period of time as part of a managed wind-down.
